File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Jyothika.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:03, 2 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 01:03, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Radha mitchell.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. 63.217.82.139 (talk) 04:29, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted the image File:Barry Gibb.jpg (and its copy, File:Barry gibb.jpg), as a copyright violation. The image doesn't have a copyright tag, and lists a source website which not just doesn't give any indication that the file is under a free license, but actually contains a copyright and "all rights reserved" notice. (Since Barry Gibb is still alive, the fair use exception is unlikely to apply, since a new photo of the person could be made and released into public domain or under a free license.) If you are the author of the image, then you should add a notice that the image has been under a free license (and which one), or contact the Wikipedia mailing list; see the guideline on donating copyrighted content; otherwise, the image cannot be used in any Wikipedia article. (See the image use policy.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 20:43, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Linux. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. It's TERRIBLY difficult to tell from the diff output on this particular edit exactly what you did. Because of your editing history, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and not reverting it but you really should supply Edit Summary info for EVERY edit you make. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 00:10, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Italicizing film-titles[edit]

All movie titles get italicized. Always, in every article. It's the MOS:ITALIC standard for all of wikipedia. Please look back over your recent contributions and fix this important formatting mistake you have made. Thanks! DMacks (talk) 01:12, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have restored the song placement in the synopsis. As noted in the article structure guidelines for Muscal Theatre articles, "The story of a musical is told through the songs within it. We strongly encourage you to incorporate the names of the musical numbers into the prose. The titles of the musical numbers should be "in quotes" per MOS:MUSIC. Musical numbers can be incorporated like this in two ways: In parentheses, after the description of the song or scene where the song appears, like these examples from Hello, Dolly!: Horace Vandergelder informs his two employees that a woman is essential to make a household complete ("It Takes a Woman"); or Using the title of the number in a sentence: Horace Vandergelder informs his two employees that "It Takes a Woman" to make a household complete."(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Musical_Theatre/Article_Structure ). Please do not remove alt tags from images[edit]

Images should have alt tags specified to provide information about the images to reader who cannot, due to browser limitations or visual impairments, see the images. This is part of the Manual of Style on accessibility. Your edits to Kareena Kapoor removed alt tags from several of the images. I've restored them.

Please be careful when editing that you do not remove any other alt tags from images. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 15:45, 26 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Malayalam text on Padmanabhaswamy Temple article[edit]

I see that you removed the Malayalam name of the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple from the Padmanabhaswamy Temple article. Malayalam and English are the official languages for Thiruvananthapuram where the temple is located. Your removal has been reverted.

You may want to see see Talk:Padmanabhaswamy Temple#First_line-"Malayalam": Request correction. which is a discussion about this. --Marc Kupper|talk 18:39, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Zeeyanketu. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Heroine (2012 film) without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ---zeeyanketu talk to me 08:24, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Sharada.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Sharada.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 19:39, 24 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Sharada.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
